Love and Peace
Illustration
Japanese magazine Kokoku Hihyo were commemorating the bombing of Hiroshima and asked Fabrica's visual communication department to produce images on the theme of Love and Peace. At a time when the original perpetrators of the Hiroshima attack, the United States, were still undertaking military attacks elsewhere in the world, it seemed inappropriate to be celebrating peace. Instead the illustration examines the capitalist motivations behind war and the military spending of tax payer's dollars.
